How good is the situation when one honestly cannot say one is sure of winning this one?

Think we will win

But the margin wont be acceptable to many

Obviously Lids won't play and Maric is doubtful ( hasn't trained either)
Tiges by 5 goals only

What is an acceptable margin?

I would be happy with this margin..

Trouble is we are playing a completely different team with a different game plan and different players. Their side and conditions have changed way more than ours and I hope we are not found to be napping.

I think it'll be a contest until the 3rd quarter then we'll flog them. 10 goal + win. Expect jack or vickery to have a big game. Martin to have a big game. Houli off half back

I would like to see us have a big first quarter and set up the win from there, no reason we couldn't bang on 8 in the first!!

Would like to see martin have a bout 4 by the end.

This is the year when the weak get weeded out. We must get it done this year.

If we aspire to be a top 4 team anything less than a 12 goal win will be unsatisfactory.
Anything over 100 points will confirm our status a legitimate contender for one of those top four positions.

RICHMOND

ROUND 1 FORECAST:

Shane Edwards looks set to run out in Thursday’s season-opener against Carlton after getting through training on Sunday.

The Tigers say Brett Deledio is fine however his appearance at training wasn’t as convincing.

Jacob Townsend has recovered from concussion suffered in the final NAB Challenge game and is a strong chance to make his Tigers debut as a midfield battering ram.

Daniel Rioli has firmed for a Round 1 debut after training on Sunday but Nathan Broad, Jason Castagna and Adam Marcon are long shots.

The Tigers have another vacancy after Reece Conca was placed on the long-term injury list, with Mabior Chol a possible bolter after he trained with the main group.

Marcon definitely a "long shot" as he's still on the rookie list.....as is the "bolter" Chol. Thorough research and quality analysis from the HUN as usual....

After last seasons elim  final when they picked Reece and Griff I would not at all be suprised if someone like a chol or rioli were picked

This is why RFC lose Elimination finals by going into games with injured players. Most clubs do but we get caught out much too often
