From the Age today:Richmond is unlikely to regain ruckman Ivan Maric for Friday night’s clash with Collingwood, when the Tigers will be without key pair Brett Deledio and Shane Edwards.
While Maric has not yet been ruled out with a back injury, it is understood that he is considered unlikely to return for the huge game against the Magpies, meaning that Shaun Hampson will again carry the major ruck duties with support from Ben Griffiths and Ty Vickery.
But the Tigers will regain another midfielder in Shaun Grigg, who has recovered from a thumb injury that kept him out of the season’s first game.
Richmond will not risk Deledio, who is recovering from a quadriceps problem, while Edwards has a broken bone in his hand and cannot be considered.
Collingwood also will have key players absent in Dane Swan, Travis Varcoe and the suspended Steele Sidebottom, while Jarrod Witts will miss with a hand injury.
Brodie Grundy and Ben Reid are certain inclusions, James Aish is likely to be promoted for his first game for the Pies. Jeremy Howe is also a chance to make his Collingwood debut.
