Where Do We Sit
« on: April 16, 2016, 04:12:35 PM »
Comparatively this year to date and going into next year, where do we sit against these supposed lower clubs? This is how these clubs sit on the ladder at the moment. The Saints are really putting in some good shows including today against the Hawks, the Pies beat us, the Dons were not embarrassed today, the Blues have really recruited well and we will not beat them round 1 next year and the Lions have a very good nucleolus to challenge in the coming years.

I would include the Dee's but it appears they are above us, including on the ladder, GWS have passed us and so have the GCS. The Bulldogs are also another team that have leapfrogged us and they were destined to be failures for years.

Apart from the Dockers who will step up soon, does anyone else think we have missed the boat and these other clubs will overtake us sooner rather than later?

Oh look we need to take a step backward to go forward but we'll still make the eight this year....

Its not just this year we need to worry about though, I don't believe we are in front of these clubs at all and with their recruiting and trades they can only get better. We really picked up Rioli and that was it!!

We need to spend the money and poach people who know what they are doing. Like someone else said, "Give them an offer they can't refuse!"  If we get people who actually know what they are doing rather than keeping the status quo in the name of stability.

Get the head of recruitment at either Hawthorn, swans, Eagles
Get the head of development at Eagles, Hawthorn Swans
Get a coach who has an idea and will develop a game style to suit his current playing group.
Get a coaching team that aren't just mates of the head coach but actually know footy and can contribute something to group.

Spend the money & get great experienced people that already have had proven success
The club that keeps giving.

Sure have. Even the apologists can see it.

Rendall and Mickey O for a start then dump this dud Francis Hackson-

cant believe this poor excuse for a recruiter has still got a job after what he and his mentor Miller has done to our list.
