And lastly, when recruiting, if we need a ruckman, draft one, not a hybrid ruck/forward. (They need to be 200 cm plus that can run and jump and most importantly like to wrestle and love a contest.

If we want a KPF, recruit a guy that can play the position well and not try and think past that. We have drafted too many guys with the thought of them being the second ruckman as well. (Putt, Vickery, Griffiths, McBean, Chol, Hampson) if we had of thought like that we may have guys like Carisile and Darling to name a few.

If we need an onballer, draft a genuine one not a flanker or pocket player that we think we can turn into one. We have way to many flankers and pocket players on our list that just cannot play onball with any real quality. (Houli, Ellis, McInntosh, Lambert, Menadue, Lloyd, Vlastuin, Townsend, Rioli, Hunt, Morris, Lennon, Short, Castagna, Moore, Yarran, Conca, Drummond, Markov, Buttler)

Our recruiting for a long while now has tried to be too cute. More than half of that list should be genuine onballers. Take a look at our VFL side and the main setup in the middle are all non AFL listed players. How is that even possible!!!!!!
I wonder where i have heard that over the last god knows how many years.

Carlton have barely started their rebuild. The team that beat the Pies was real old.
