What strikes me and has been a complaint for years has been the fact in most games we have played with just two tall fwds. When Vickery or Griffiths has had a rest or gone into the ruck it has left Riewoldt one out against three.
Long time 10 minutes to have just the one tall fwd by himself, structure goes out the window.
Surely Hardwick and co are aware of this and plan accordingly. yet Vickery can sit there for ten minutes and structure can go out the window.

Gunna say i am not sure who played on Vickery i thought it was Kaiden Brand but if Gibson at 189cm played on him all night then Vickery should have been clunking marks all night long.

Gibson was playing on Vickery

Gibson was looking dejected when ty liked two in two mins

He was smiling when Tyrone got dragged

After the game , Dimma said he didn't watch that part of the game
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

I think Dimma has tried to go with 3 talls and a Ruck but the problem is we just lack the quality. This week we did go in with 3 talls in Reiwoldt, Vickery and Griff and a ruck in Hampson. Problem is when we've tried this at times over the past couple years (swap Maric with Hampson or Griff), there has always been at least one of them just not performing meaning they get dropped (in Griff and Hampsons case - we all know Vickery doesn't get dropped)

On and off-field brain fades

Damien Hardwick (Richmond)
The Tiger coach needs to not only question his players' performances this season, but his own as well. On Friday night after Ty Vickery had just kicked his second goal in a few minutes to give Richmond the lead in the second quarter, the forward was substituted off for most of the remainder of the term. Coincidentally or not, in that time Hawthorn kicked three goals to take a handy advantage into the main break. When asked post-game about the move, Hardwick fumbled out that he 'couldn't exactly recall' it, that it was tough to get players off the ground sometimes, and that players come off when they are 'due for rotations'.

I recon the reason we cannot go in with 3 talls and a ruckman, is because Griff and Vic are both 200cm tall, both soft as butter and are completely useless when the ball hits the ground.
We need more mobile KPF that can also help hold the footy in. Those 2 are crap. Teams just walk the footy out. We could play Jack, Vickery and say a Gunston/Darling type but I don't have one.
The other thing that the good teams have is manic small forwards. We need another speedy small forward that can tackle. Lloyd and Lambert aren't it. They both offer something different but not manic pressure.
So many holes....

McBean - excellent below the knees......Butler - quick, 11 tackles in the VFL last week....Hardwick - clueless....
