Tigers good enough to win flag: CotchinHerald-Sun
24 May 2016RICHMOND skipper Trent Cotchin is adamant that his team has the stocks to achieve the ultimate success.
Much has been made in recent weeks about the Tigers’ list management, with some commentators suggesting a rebuild may be on the horizon at Punt Rd.
Not according to Cotchin, who is adamant the current group has what it takes to win a premiership.
“Absolutely I do,” he said on Tuesday.
“I wouldn’t have signed on for a long period of time if I didn’t. The club are doing a fantastic job at giving us the resources as players to perform at the top level for long periods of time.
“We need to continue to get better.
“We’ve got young guys coming through that are showing great signs and our middle tier players that have been here for a couple of years have taken big steps forward at different stages. It’s just that consistency.
“It’s the same with our senior players — we need pressure from underneath to make sure that we’re continually getting better as well.”
