Since news of a board challenge...
« on: August 19, 2016, 02:21:16 AM »
Hampson has been signed for two more years

Astbury has been signed for three more years

The club is targeting Travis Cloke, probably for a three year contract

Emmet Dunne has taken a position on the board.

PEGGY has beligerently stood by her failied blueprint

This is madness.

What has the board got to do with signing of players, that's not their job

That's what the paid so called professional are there for..you know the Dan the Man and his sidekick with far too much say Blair Hartley...

The only thing the board (rightly and just like every other club bar perhaps the Bulldogs  :snidegrin) has input in to from a list management perspective is OKing large contracts and giving the footy dept the OK to trade away our first round pick...

A board challenge or in our case a threat of one cannot and should not stop at this time of the year list management. Everything can't go on hold until this board mess is sorted

Can't afford to miss out on players because the pub crew and the incumbents are playing cat and mouse

Need a better list manager WP.  Can't afford to persist with the one on his L plates.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Do you think the board should be asking wtf they are doing though?

Been saying that for ages

Everyone knows my thoughts on B Hartley  ;D

Do you think the board should be asking wtf they are doing though?

Yes, they do. Richardson presents to the board all the time and of course Benny G gives a monthly review of all things footy dept.

To throw the cat amongst the pidgeons I think adding Cloke, Prestia and Yarran (fully fit) back into the side will make a huge difference to us.
I can see why the arent going full rebuild.

Astbury I probably would have only given 2 years but he's pretty good this year,
Hampson, yes should have been a 1 year deal but I can see why they had to do it.  We just need to trade in a 21-23 year old ruckman to develop like a Longer/Nicholls etc

Pmac, I'd like to,share in yiur optimism but track records prove they have no real plan to rebuild as evident in their ignorant refusal to admit such, both in the media and within their four crusty walls.

That alone is all the proof one needs to conclude that the RFC is a Band aid club and the members are
Financing it. Take away their funds and we're all of a sudden looking somewhat more powerful to this
Ludicrous occupation
