7.5 to 8.

I rate him because he was an accumulator who kept willing himself and spent everything he had in the tank for the team. He was just not as damaging with his disposals which stopped me from giving him a 9 or 10.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Yeh. Looking back and by comparison of today's list, he rates pretty well.

Campbell was pretty similar to Cotchin.

Great accumulator of stats that don't really hurt the opposition.

Both had one great year ( Campbell 1995) ( Cotchin 2012 ) and spent the rest of their careers teasing but never really reaching those heights again.

Cotchin was rightful charlie winner at a young age

And a right-jet before we played him with injury. A level above Cambo imo
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

2 different footballers. Cotchin's game fell away some when the AFL brought the rule in where players dive on the ball. Cotchin was fearless at chucking his body in sliding & taking the players balance away from them. Take a look back at games when he first played & how the rules of football took away a players natural ability to win the hard ball in todays game.
Cotchin needs to use the ball better by penetrating it with longer kicks instead of setting up with his handballs to his team mates who get smashed when they receive it under pressure from him.

My theory is his kicking went Shyte after we played him with the leg injury

Used to kick very well
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus
