The whole "female equality in sports" thing is annoying. It's a marketing myth.
The entire dynamic of it is about opposing forces.
If you want equality, start a unisex comp, otherwise it's rubbish.

It rated higher in Melbourne than any men's game this year and had a peak audience of a million nationwide.

I enjoyed the game, sure it wasn't AFL standard, maybe a Under 16's championship but sport is sport. If Richmond had a girls team I'd jump on board 100%.
