The review will be released when Gale thinks the time is right
So Gale will do the usual of "fixing" the problems identified before release of the review (partial only of course).
Lade has been offered a one year deal.
Williams will now be a recruiter.

RICHMOND has started interviewing assistant coaches as it continues to work through its yet-to-be released football department review.

It is understood some senior members of the club's coaching group were not interviewed as part of the football department review.

Um so what was the point of hiring out a (accounting :lol) firm to look at our football department but not bother with senior staff? What a farce

Not only offered new deals, but openly encouraged to look for other jobs as well. Only at Richmond would they give someone a contract and not demand/expect commitment

Devil's advocate time

Under the coaches association agreement clubs had to tell assistants if they were being kept or if they could look at "other opportunities" by 1 August

Both of the blokes offered new deals but only 12 months with one facing a demotion. the other having been approached by another club

Think about it

1 year -v- the possibility of a longer deal somewhere else... hmmm which would you chose?

the other  offered 12 months in reduced role (read demotion)...

No guarantee either will stay

So do you think it's normal practice to tell employees to look for another job or sign a 1 year deal?
In the real world you either offer someone a job/contract because you want them to work in your organisation or you don't.
Once again the club is being pathetic. You either think they are good enough or you don't.
Not sure how anyone can think what has transpired is normal or acceptable.

Correct.  Half pregnant.  Do we want these blokes or not?  If they are good you lock them in.  If not stuff them off.  Another example of having no clear plan and no conviction.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

We are still talking about people and jobs and lives here, not disposable stuffing napkins.  Maybe they are being managed out with a view to some compassion to allow them time to find new employment.

The thing with contracts is, when they run out, they're over.
That's how business works.

What's unethical about sacking someone not considered good enough. They're contract expired.
