As a matter of conjecture, what pick were we likely to get next year for Lids?
Looks like we are going to get reamed again?

Surely the AFL should step in?

Why are we going to get reamed again?

Yeah the AFL won't take any picks they traded out off the other clubs.

Even if it was GWS's pick to start with, we'd still get it.....they're not going to punish other clubs for  GWS's crimes, there'd be a revolt......f.e. we'll still get their third rounder next year and it will still be relative to where they finish...

I can smell what you're stepping in there mol but we are getting the Cats first pick which they traded to the GWS. With any luck, that will end up being around pick 10-12.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

It is good for next year as we get to support two teams each weekend. Richmond plus the team playing Geelong

The point is the AFL won't strip picks GWS traded out off the clubs they traded them to, regardless of whether or not they were on traded from a third club or were just straight  trades of GWS's own picks... those picks now belong to the clubs GWS traded them to not, GWS...the AFL can't change that and would only strip GWS of picks they currently still hold.... surely not that hard to comprehend...

I believe get GWS's first pick next year.
Can you give me a range or idea of what that will be ?
