I was young enough to remember and love the Kellaway brothers.

Too young to remember these supposed efforts on Carey, but the size difference is huge.

Graham is not a good tagger IMO. Simply too slow. Yes he tagged Sloane in the '17 GF but other than that...

Carey was one of the best players I've ever seen. The guy was unstoppable at times. I actually think Duncan Kellaeay was the only backman to beat him on multiple occasions. I don't think SOS or Fletcher played on him cause he played too high up the ground at times. Kellaway was tiny but was a genius on how he played him.

One of my fondest memories was when he kicked his first goal.

Yeah reckon Glen Jakovich might have something to say about that.... :shh

Richmond premiership player Jack Graham is weighing up a four-year offer from West Coast. If he was to depart an end-of-second-round pick is seen as the best possible result for compensation for the Tigers.

Pfffft end of second round my ass.

Should be 2nd rounder if we tweak the right deal with WCE.

As has been pointed out to me we have no say or input into what Graham gets paid or how long his contract is for.

He is not a contracted player he is a free agent and we depend on what the above amounts to.

Would have thought Jack would not be on huge coin and end of second round is probably it.

Depends on if WCE want to trade with us for Baker.

WCE and RFC can ask the AFL what his proposed contract will net us in compensation. They can then adjust the offer and ask again until we know it's band 3 (same as band 2 for us).

If Baker and WCE want each other we can leverage the Graham deal.

Oh well, it’s a 50:50 call anyway so while I am sure he will end up going for a pick in the late 30’s which is what he is worth, it’s going to make absolutely no difference if he sticks around for another year or two while we work out how to rebuild this list.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

My understanding is that we did it with Vickery

Baker nominating WCE should make this easier for them to negotiate a deal that suits us.

RFC can tell WCE to pay Graham more to ensure it's P22.
