MT did you go to training yesterday, or are you still on your summer vacation being more than 3 years on the list of training reporters?

This thread is pretty long now shouldn't we do a Training 2009 one to make it a little easier to keep up?

Let's hope the rumour about Collard is off the money. I guess we'll find out by Friday.

I normally don't start heading down to have a look at preseason training until everyone is back but if I find time I might have a squiz if I can find out where they are training this week. It's difficult to know where as there's 3-4 grounds where they train at and they can change locations at late notice. Plus if they're just doing running at this stage they only might be going around the Tan.

Not sure if we'll be that harsh, he got in some pretty good shape last pre-season by busting his ass, so there's no way he'd be close to what he was back then.
Unfortunate if it's true, but we have plenty of room on the rookie list this year

That's upsetting. I had high hopes for Collard this year but this has been his problem sice be began his career - poor fitness and attitude. I hope he is not another Richmond player who's potential goes unrealised.  :(

According to BF,

Adam Cockshell and Fabian DeLuca, both formerly from Port Power are trying their luck at Tigerland by training with the group hoping to get drafted in the PSD or Rookie draft.

Can you imagine having a Cockshell and Sidebottom in the same side?  :-\

It's pronounced Cochshell. The family must have got sick of the teasing.

Cockshell was pick 4 in the 2006 PSD when we took Kent Kingsley at 6  :P. Made an okayish debut at the start of 2007 but got dropped after two games and was never seen again in a Port jumper.

Geez what's our obsession with ex-Port players at the moment ???

Don't know WAT but I'm guessing as a 5 year player if his knee is okay now he returned to training this week. The last I heard Rainesy was overseas on holiday with his girlfriend during their 8-week after-season break. We told him to sit out the rest of the season in August because he was getting other related injuries like hammies and quaddies on the same leg as the knee he dislocated.
