Dookie wasn't even there, completely made all of that up.

Arnot is our stockiest player. Arms and Legs are like that of a body builder lol
Elton looks as tall as Vickery, Maric, Griffiths and Derrickx when standing with them. He's also very quick like Vickery, Griffiths and Derrickx
Post looks like he'll be 2012's version of Rance in 2011. He came out early, was vocal, near the front of all the runs and was bigger too. Did well in the 1 on 1's and has been working on his acceleration too. Showed some real hunger for the ball

Ahh don't you just love our future ferals. If we have another 10 years of Tiger mediocrity they'll be as bitter and twisted as us and all that talk of final 8 will be a distant memory.  ;D
Not that its going to happen! Right Dimma??

Going by that clip there's going to be a few more bitter and twisted souls if we don't make the top 8 this year lol. Expectations a fraction too high me thinks  :-\.

Great reports  :thumbsup

A shame about Dusty  :-\. Hopefully he's fine.

I'm guessing we are trying Griffs in defence as part of his education as a forward (learn from another forward about where to run and lead to).

Did Conca train and if so how he did he look?

Dusty should be ok MT

I think I read elsewhere a griff is being tried at CHB also because he's less likely to get injured there? Moved freely today incl full body contact so that's a good sign.

Conca was one of the few that nailed his kicks and hit all his targets (from what I could see). Also of note, at the end a group of 24 or so stayed on and did repeat 400 and 800m runs. Conca was almost always first in his sub-group  :thumbsup.   He will definitely run games out in 2012 better than last year
Cheers DD and good news to hear about Reece  :thumbsup.

As for Big Ben hopefully he can get through the year unscathed  :pray.

Nah they are just kids . It takes years of disapointment to turn someone into the bitter miserable souls we see in the resident dark Siders

So are my ways higher than your ways,

Dooks - amazingly detailed and insightful report. Well done! :thumbsup Always great to hear about how the new players are performing and I love the sound of Ellis, Arnot, Elton and Morris from your report. I'm surprized that Arnot was able to outmuscle Martin :o The other player I'll keep my eye on is Pia - sounds like he may turn into a monster defender in the future  :pray

I always wonder where players like Griffiths, Post, Elton and Derickx will end up. We do tend to move these players back and forth a hell of a lot. I was very hopeful Griffiths would see some time in the forwardline this year but sounds like he will spend most of the year as a CHB for Coburg.  :'(

The big news is the confirmation of Newman and Lids training exclusively with the midfield team. We've all heard whispers and snipets of news but, too me, this makes it a reality. Means we will be going into 2012 with a more experienced and bigger bodied midfield team  :thumbsup Just hope Houli, Batchelor, Dea and/or Morris etc will give us the same delivery out of the backline as these two have done.

Once again, great report Dooks! :cheers

No worries Stripes.

I think Derrickx will go past Graham this year and be our no 2 ruck. Don't be surprised if Grif gets a decent number of games at CHB. Post will be an interesting one to watch this year. I think he knows he has to deliver and has taken a number of steps like hiring a running coach to increase his fitness base. But Ive just got a feeling he will still lack intensity. Happy to be proven wrong.

Yep Newman and Lids to the midfield appears to be a lock  :thumbsup

Arnot is a unit but based on what I saw kicking needs alot of work. Dea's decision making needs attention too.

Debutants for round 1:- Maric, Morris, Ells. Pencil it in.

perhaps the coaching staff don't abide by the view that because someone plays a certain position as junior that is their position for life.?

they feel it will be a good learning experience to develop his overall game?

they feel it will be better for the team to develop him as a CHB in the long term?

They do these things just to see what reaction they get on Internet forums?
