My 'Spy' says Pickett was BOG today. Clarke kicked 3 goals. Bradtke passed it to Kmac for the winner after the siren to the red team.

DNP:
Banks, Campbell, Colina, Gibcus, Graham, Grimes, Lynch, Prestia, Smith, Sonsie.

New injuries:
Castagna did a hammy.
Broad also has twinged a hammy (on Thursday).
Cumberland got nailed in a tackle. Ice on ankle after.

Interesting. Was there today it was the Club XIII Season Launch

We got training, match simulation and then some food and interviews up in the MRC after.

Was a great morning/early arvo.

Tigers tune up in match simulation

By Grace Kalac
Richmond Media
11 February 2023

Richmond continued to sharpen up its 2023 preparations with a match simulation at the Swinburne Centre on Saturday morning.

In the Tigers' biggest hit-out of the pre-season so far, the group played out four 15-minute quarters in the Melbourne heat, with four minute breaks in between each term.

Split into two sides, a 'Yellow' team and a 'Red' team, it was an intense and evenly-matched competitive clash at Tigerland.

Jack Riewoldt kicked four goals, the veteran forward showing his class as he approaches his 17th AFL season.

Exciting younger Judson Clarke showcased his finishing ability by getting on the end of three goals, while fellow Tiger Cub Jacob Bauer slotted two.

Dustin Martin was fit and firing, the superstar Tiger busy up forward as he booted two majors.

Recruits Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper were composed through the midfield and found plenty of the ball, as they continue to build excitement ahead of their first seasons in the Yellow and Black.

Daniel Rioli was dynamic in defence, while his uncle Maurice Rioli was lively up forward and hit the scoreboard.

Veteran Tiger Trent Cotchin was an important contributor throughout the hit-out. Along the wing, Marlion Pickett worked hard and was influential.

Liam Baker was reliable as always in the Tigers' backline, while electrifying midfielder/forward Shai Bolton produced plenty of exciting moments.

LOL

My main focus was watching the newbies, younger guys, Narkle and Bradtke and our game plan and style

I was impressed with Hopper and Taranto

Have to say Bauer with a proper pre-seaon and more time in our program has improved markedly

The match sim teams based on the photos:

Reds:
Bradtke, Bolton, Castagna, Clarke, Cotchin, Dow, Martin, McIntosh, Miller, Nankervis, Narkle, Nyuon, Pickett, Riewoldt, M.Rioli, Ross
VFL-listed: Teal, Johnson, McDonagh, Street.

Yellows:
Baker, Balta, Brown, Cumberland, Green, Hopper, Mansell, Ralphsmith, D.Rioli, Ryan, Short, Soldo, Taranto, Tarrant, Vlastuin, Young.
VFL-listed: Cooper, Faimalo, Trezise, White

A couple of players switched sides by the look of it.

Yes in the 3rd and 4th quarters some players changed sides

Ryan replaced Nank at the start of the 3rd

WP did you notice any change in our game plan?

Not really. Although pressure at stoppages has stepped up, that was clear

Have to say I was very impressed with Miller. Clear his role is going to be 2nd ruck. He consistently beat Soldo at hitouts and around the ground
