Hawks now leading Geelong nearing half-time. Dangerfield carrying a leg injury too after having his kick smothered.

Port will keep 4th spot after exploding out of the blocks and kicking 8 goals in the first qtr against North. That shinboner spirit ,eh!  ::)

Well so much for being on one leg. Dangerfield has 5 goals to 3/4 time. Cats up by 11.

Cats won by just 3 pts. Hodge kicked a goal with less than a minute to go to bring the margin back to 4. Then, Issac Smith had a shot to win the game but missed. IIRC that's the 2nd time Smith in the past couple of years has missed the last shot of the game against Geelong.

In the other game, Port flogged North by 70 pts. So no change to the top 4 this week. We need to win and get back on track tomorrow to stay in touch.

A reality hit for Geelong. Hung in there on the scoreboard which flattered them in the end but they were totally outclassed by Adelaide. The Crows have played anywhere near that well since they flogged us over there. They are going to be hard to beat for the flag if they finish top 2 which is likely now.

The one positive is if we can pull off a win tomorrow, we'll be just half a game off second.

If... we finish in 4th, we will have to play off Adelaide in Adelaide.
I personally cant see us finishing higher than 4th given the teams circling around top 4 and those circling top 5-8.
We would have to edge out GWS or Port or Geelong or even keep Demons away.

Wonder why Taylor Walker isn't receiving nearly as much scrutiny as Dusty for this..

West Coasty.

24 pts up in the last with a top 8 spot on the line and on the Pies who are out of the finals race, and the Eagles still get rolled. If that was us, the media would be carrying on for the next week.

A mixed result for us tonight. Hawthorn winning means they'll be up for next week. On the other hand, Sydney losing means tomorrow night as well as the Hawks game is a chance for us to cement a spot in the top 4. Not going to be easy without Jack  :-\.

At least, GWS didn't get any % out of it.
