There it was for all to see why I don't rate Ellis B

Just stood there refused to go in and get the ball, looked afraid to get hit  :banghead :banghead

It was difficult to defend.

And that shot on goal by Lennon sums up his career.

I meant his lack of effort was difficult to defend, not that I tried to.

And yet the 'experts' see 26 possies and assume he's in our bests.

Never ceases to amaze that he gets away with it with the coaching staff

Conca was ok. The other 2,  :huh
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Just driving back ( dumb idea to go )
Griffiths and Lennon huge question marks
Griffiths got injured but no excuses running into wrong spots on ground early in game
Nankervis great find
Defensively we have improved heaps and are more direct
Great signs for 2017
👍👍

Yes but he wasn't good when playing. Massive opportunity for him this year but it's been a slow start.

Player by player thoughts:-

Nankervis - 15 disposals (10 contested), 5 marks, 5 tackles, 4 clearances, 5 score involvements, 1 goal 1. 22 Hit outs. Absolute beast. Worked tirelessly all day. Our best player.

BEllis - 26 of the cheapest disposals youll ever see. 18 uncontested. Most sideways or backwards. Lacked the will to contest.

Miles - got better as the game wore on and ended up taking control. Finished up leading our clearances. 24 disposals 14 contested, 5 score involvements.

Butler - he looked dangerous on the odd occasion but i cant help thinking hes got a big head with clear evidence of selfish play. Ended up with 9 disposals, 1 goal 2 and 5 offensive tackles which the latter were most valuable.

Reiwoldt - 2 goals 1, 6 score involvements, 4 marks inside 50. A definate pass mark especially being triple teamed most of the day.

Vlastuin - i get the sense he hadnt figured out his role yet. Maybe hardwick hasnt. Looked lost at times but then drifted into the game at times with impact. 13 disposals, 1 goal 1, 4 tackles. Far from our worse.

Grigg - 20 disposals and DID break lines, but blazed away with kicking and 0.3 goals. Went at 60% by foot. Minimal tackles.

Hunt - disgraceful inside 50 delivery. 17 nothing disposals.

Caddy - Down on last week but got more time later in the game and worked his way in. 18 disposals (12 uncontested). Looked like a foot soldier rather than a game breaker.

Martin - really disapointed in his game. Played arrogant footy. Glad he got less game time in the second half. Threw the ball on the foot with no regard where it was going. No suprises went by 58% by foot. 17 disposals 1 goal 1.

Cotchin - electifying efforts in the first half esp first quarter. Hungry hunter. 16 disposals. Restricted time later.

Conca - cant question his attack on the contest today. BUT, his kicking remains a very very poo prospect. Very very poo.

Lloyd - 3 goals 15 disposals. Looked 'on' and was.

Astbury - another solid game. Beat more often than beaten. 13 disposals at 92%. 4 tackles.

Rance - played deep but also was rested a fair bit. Quality involvement when he had to go.

Castagna - still quietish in generla play but finished well. the signs are there. Speed. 10 disp including 7 contested.  2 goal 0.

Mrarkorv- goid signs. Lightning elite speed. Needs to hunt the goals with run and carry. 10 disp all outside plus 5 marks.

Lennon - more involved this game. 9 disp and looked comfortable  thrown across half back late in the game. Kicking nailed targets under pressure irrespective of distance. Best 22.

Rioli - so many good signs. Loves the contest and just needs to learn exactly the best impact on each type of contest (and will). 9 disp at 88% and a nice snap at goal.

Grimes - classic solid grimes. head knock but kept going. Servicable and reliable

McIntosh - early game time. Was ok. Nothing special.

C Ellis - copped an early knock. Still learning. Sublime kick but needs nore opportunity and more size.

Lambert - meh.

Townsend - came in later. Looked lost. Just the 3 disp.

Maric - helped wirh the ruck last quarter. Cooked.

Griffiths - Completely lost. Went off half way through second Q? Either dragged or injured.  Why does he lead where he chooses to lead? I dont get it and neither does he. Way way way out of form. Would be better giving time to Elton.
