According to the Footy Show (Barrett told Brownless apparently), a senior Richmond player got so sick of the constant negative comments from Mark Maclure towards us that he wanted to do something to get back at Maclure. So he put up a number of items to sell online and included Maclure's number as the seller. As a result, Maclure's phone rang non-stop for weeks. It became so annoying that Maclure seeked out a private detective or someone like that. The senior Richmond player on hearing this got cold feet and rang Maclure personally to fess up on what he did.
