Richmond should make a move for St Kilda forward Paddy McCartin, says club legend Kevin BartlettMay 5, 2017 3:14pm

FOX SPORTSMcCartin is out of favour with the Saints this season, having been edged out of the side due to the form of their three-pronged attack led by Nick Riewoldt, Tim Membrey and Josh Bruce.
The 21-year-old has not played since Round 3 and wasn’t picked to feature against the Giants ahead of their Friday night clash, despite kicking seven goals in the VFL last weekend.
“(McCartin) would be a great fit for the Tigers,” Bartlett told SEN on Friday morning.
“The No.1 draft pick is playing reserves footy and is into his third year without establishing himself as a regular.
“Richmond needs another forward key position player badly. Tyrone Vickery is a Hawk, Ben Griffiths sadly has concussion issues and Todd Elton is not the answer up forward.
“McCartin booted seven goals last week in the reserves and still no recall.
“All the talk is the Saints are chatting with the Giants midfield star Josh Kelly and Nat Fyfe keeps getting mentioned.
“The Tigers should start having a quiet word with McCartin.”
The Tigers are reportedly keen on finding a key forward partner for Jack Riewoldt at season’s end and have already been linked with a move for Brisbane youngster Josh Schache.
Fellow Richmond legend Matthew Richardson suggested on Thursday night that the Tigers should also consider an approach for Carlton’s Levi Casboult.
