Total wank.

pardon

He SAID - total wank  >:(

pair of stuffwits

Club80 committee volunteer their time to raise money for the RFC & you stuffheads carry on like that

He's entitled to his opinion about the broader club 80. Alot of people view Club 80 as being pretentious.

No need to make criticisms like that. If people like going to those functions, good on them. Why should they be told that they are a waste of time? The people going to them can make that decision. If it is not for you, don't go.

Sick of people criticising other posters and their personal preferences. It is fine to argue opinions on players and coaches and admin staff but to say that what people enjoy doing in their personal time is a waste of their time is just ridiculous and stupid.

Because he has a right to an opinion and a right to say it. Its called free speech and he isnt breaking any site rules.
Of course he has a right to an opinion. However, there is a way to voice it properly too. Calling it a wank is inflammatory and can be considered as trolling. That is against site rules.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

It's imperative that these groups raise the money needed for the club to purchase more updated equipment.
Why the players still pushing this when there's a motorised unit on the market?

It's clubs like these that make the difference.  :clapping

Anyone over the age - I'll be very generous and say 16 - who wants to meet footy players and hang around them needs to take a good hard look at themselves...

:facepalm at the hysteria. How dare anyone call what someone else is a part of 'a wank' otherwise they'll apparently be offended.

Get over yourselves. My comment about club 80 being pretentious has been confirmed in my mind.

Stop pumping out hot air Dooks. I have zero association with Club 80. Never have and probably never will.

People need to respect other people's choices. It's as simple as that.

No. People don't 'need' respect other people's choices. They are free to respect others choices if they wish to. If they don't, they are free to have an opinion otherwise.

So you think that's what Club80 is about? Getting to meet players? It isnt; much more to it than that. Best Club80 function I've ever been to was when legendary journo Scott Palmer was a guest. They've raised alot of money for the club over the years. They do a great job.

Club80 is not pretentious, seems some folks have had bees in their collective bonnets ever since the directive of what got said at functions was not to end up on social media. A directive that IMHO based on what I took time to find out for myself is not unreasonable request.

It's extremely unfortunate that people who make comments about Club80 being pretentious seem to be people who have actually never been and may have based their views on what a very small minority have posted on or more to point not posted on social media, that is making it sound like some sort of secret meeting. Over time I've read some of the comments and I just do this  :facepalm :shakeshead

Go to a function, see what it's about and make your own call. Walk away with the same view then fair enough.

While everyone is entitled to an opinion, voicing or expressing it shouldn't need to come with insults distracted at those you don't agree with.

That's where showing respects to everyone's right to have one comes in
