If that umpiring call is typical of women's footy it's not worth watching.
Pretty much three of the most ridiculously non frees to Brisbane you will ever see.  :banghead

Rubbish umpiring to start the game.

I know we are kicking into a breeze but Brennan should have kicked that.

Monahan is having a shocker so far in defence.

We get it forward from the centre clearance. Good mark by Brennan but after it goes through the middle it is called touched on the mark.

1/4 time

Richmond 0.2-2
Brisbane 2.3-15

Brennan looks as though she really wants to attack the footy and she’s showing great signs early unfortunately not able to kick the two goals from her opportunities. She’s taken three contested marks that quarter.

Conti still looks excellent but has had limited opportunities and hasn’t had a disposal.

Cordner is impressive down back as were all the girls in defence were under the pump for much of that quarter.
Monaghan is in the play but her kicking needs to improve out of defence it was very bad.

Frederick doesn't make distance.
Stahl misses.

Goal off a Lions fumble. Wakefield kicks it.

Better second half with the wind.

Our midfield is disappointing but we did get the ball moving inside forward 50 much better that quarter. But our forward entries were sloppy.

Wakefield had a great quarter not only kicking a goal but showing some real good conditioning running to help the defence as well.

Cordner looks to be a real find down back. She has poise and she can take a good grab.

Darcy looks to be having a good game getting involved and getting some touches.

Conti finally getting her hands in the ball too. We need her to shake the heat tag and get more involved in the second half as her opponent is killing her so far and is best in ground.

Jacques has been disappointing. Molan was much more involved that quarter. Hoskins ok but needs to do more

Fredricks is a waste of space. Unless she starts using her bulk to advantage I don’t see why we should persist with her at all.

Our mids need to step up this second half or we might be still deficient.

Half-time

Richmond 1.4-10
Brisbane 2.4-16

Goals: Wakefield

Didn't make the most of the breeze. Should be at least level with the ball mostly in our forward half that quarter. Disconnect between our mids and forwards. Passes to no one leading into the hot spot. No crumbers either. We also lack pace at ground level to win clean footy. Brisbane mids winning more of footy and clearances.

Look I’m all for the girls league and quite enjoy watching it but when will the club take it seriously enough to include the girls full stats on the club app?

I can’t find any of the girls age weight or height stats at all. It’s ridiculous.

Our lack of having someone front and square defensive side at contests is frustrating. Basic footy stuff. It's why we are getting killed in the clearances.

Some of the girls have no clue how to read the play.

Chuot and Fredricks are stand outs in that area.  :banghead

Our midfield is getting spanked this quarter

McKenzie the first gamer showing up her teammates. Good skills.

Geez we butcher our chances. Two opportunities just then missed. Should have 5 goals.
