Makes a difference when you hit targets. Good transition play and top kick by Wakefield into the breeze for the goal  :clapping.

A similar script to every other game, we seem to kick against the breeze first every week, be behind at quarter time then do nothing with it.
Let's hope it's different this week

Bad miss by Seymour 15m out. Don't celebrate until you kick the goal.

That about sums us up. Take a mark 5 mtres out from goal celebrates wildly goes back and misses a sitter.
Be funny if the pies didn't go straight up the other end and get a goal.
Oh dear

Terrible defending into the breeze. Didn't press up which allowed them to chip it forward with short kicks and then allowed them out the back anyway :P.

Another bad missed set shot (by Dargan this time).

Our poor goalkicking is another thing that kills us.

The product as it sits currently is comical. They are so bad. And Casey Dellacqua just thinking she could pick up a footy and learn to kick and get a game actually sums it up perfectly.

In saying all this, the game will be light years better in 10 years time as more quality juniors that have actually been playing the sport start to filter into the game. I watched a school football game and two of the girls playing would have been walk up starts into the Richmond side.

Half-time

Richmond    1.0     1.3-9
Coll'wood     3.0     4.2-26

Goal: Wakefield

Bad kicking is bad footy as they say. Had 4 gettable shots and missed them all  :P.

We also had another couple of chances with frees inside 50 and we kicked short to the pocket (and still missed the target) rather than having a shot with the breeze :huh3.

I wouldn't be basing the standard of the overall comp. on Richmond games. We are the worst side in the comp by a long way. Our skill level is abysmal and team organisation/structure is poor. Only Conti, McKenzie and maybe a couple of others cut the mustard. Reminds me of the men's team in the late 80s and early 90s.

They are pulling goals from the pocket and we can't kick them from straight in front.
