Since when have our jumpers been made by cotton on?

Cotton On has an exclusive deal with the AFLW. All AFLW apparel is supplied by Cotton On. It was a 5 year deal when the AFLW started

Clubs have no choice

I would say Cotton On are one of our AFLW sponsors

As per above they are not a RFC sponsor they are an AFLW partner

Bulldogs quietly "not happy at all" with Brennan departure: McClure

By Nic Negrepontis
SEN
9 April 2019

Host of SEN’s Time On Sam McClure believes the Western Bulldogs are quietly fuming at losing marquee forward Katie Brennan.

Brennan signed with AFLW expansion side Richmond yesterday, saying she wanted a fresh start, and McClure believes this hasn’t gone down well at the Whitten Oval.

“When Katie Brennan said she wanted to move for a fresh start, there were a few eyebrows raised down at the kennel as to what that could mean,” McClure told SEN Breakfast.

“The Bulldogs are not happy. They’re not happy at all. I think that there’s some elements of anger.

“She’s played 13 games there, she missed a lot of footy because of injury and she missed significant footy because of suspension.

“No one at the Bulldogs will publicly say this, but they believe that they were owed some loyalty.”

McClure has clarified that as far as the salary cap goes, Brennan isn’t earning any extra money from the Tigers.

“So she’s signed a two-year deal at the Tigers, she will get the same money as a playing contract, being a marquee contract, wherever she went,” he said.

However, he added AFLW clubs have a number of options outside of the cap to remunerate their marquee players.

“If you’re a marquee player, and they get two on every club list, there’s an uncapped ASA (additional services agreement) – which essentially means clubs can offer players from AFLW teams huge contracts away from football,” he said.

“I think Katie’s an ambassador with Swisse, they can give them a car deal or something like that. There’s no limit on that.”

The 26-year-old has shown glimpses of being one of the competition’s best players, but didn’t have a great 2019, kicking only six goals and averaging 13 disposals per game for the Bulldogs.

Brennan kicked nine goals across six games in the first two AFLW seasons and was the VFLW leading goal kicker in 2017 and runner up in 2016.

Richmond has added a further three players to its AFLW list for 2020 with Phoebe Monahan, Iilish Ross and Maddy Brancatisano committing to the Club.

AFLW: Tigers sign another gun forward

Kate Salemme,
Herald Sun
16 April 2019

Richmond is building an all-star AFLW forward line, following its signing of Katie Brennan with a former star Giants and Collingwood goalkicker.

All-Australian Christina Bernardi has become the Tigers’ fifth signing ahead of its entry into the competition next season.

Originally drafted by Collingwood, Bernardi was the Magpies’ leading goalkicker in 2017 and named at full-forward in the All-Australian team the next year before switching to GWS, where she booted seven goals in the 2019 AFLW season.

She played for Richmond’s VFLW team last year and has now joined the Tigers full time.

“I really liked (playing in Richmond’s VFLW side). I got to know a lot of the staff and I just liked the vibe of the Club, so I was pretty keen to come back,” she said.

“I’ve been in the system for a while so I’m excited to help the young kids out,” she said.

The Tigers have also been linked with Brisbane power forward Sabrina Frederick-Traub.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Frederick is the sixth player to sign with Richmond. In addition to Brennan, she will join All-Australian forward Christina Bernadi (from Collingwood), and emerging players Phoebe Monahan, Iilish Ross and Maddy Brancatisano.

In March, Frederick informed the Lions she wanted move to a Victorian-based team for the 2020 season in order to be closer to her partner's family.

The Tigers traded their first-round selection in this year's AFLW national draft, currently pick No.12 overall, to the Brisbane Lions in exchange for key forward Frederick.

Tayla Harris is a Richmond supporter of memory serves me correctly? What are the odds we can coerce her to join us? Pardon my ignorance on current contract statuses regarding aflw
