The thing with Dusty is he has always been a playmaker when we needed him. I’m willing to accept the opinions that Houli deserved the 17 Norm Smith but through my eyes his inside work and especially him getting the ball to Houli for his first goal, that to me is what I think non Richmond fans don’t see.

As for 2020 it was absolutely not up for debate who would win the norm smith. His first goal we desperately needed because we were getting flogged and it all started from there. Not to mention all his goals he was under pressure and fending off and off balance when taking the kick. That GF performance is one of the most insane performances I have ever seen and god it was beautiful

I know you're a RIchmond gal, but i've had about enough of the 'poor Tigers injury list' thats been doing the rounds in the media.
Have a look at how long Carltons injury list is now and all year!
What do we get?
"Sack Teague"
Fun Fact: Carlton are just 1 win behind the Tigers!
Quote from: wayne
It wasn't directed specifically at you. The media as a whole have been beating that drum for a while now, it annoys me no end.
Combine that with the practically zero injuries you had in 2017.. you are overdue for injuries.
Sympathy for Richmond is non existent.
Nothing personal

Richmond hosting another Friday night game, wow what's next? Geelong, Western Bulldogs? I see the AFL still haven't learnt from gifting crap teams Friday night games like they did with Carlton.  And yes I'm saying Richmond are crap.

What a bunch of boloney that Martin didn’t deserve the 2017 norm smith medal.

Dustin Martin
29 disposals (22 contested) 83%DE
1 tackle
6 clearances
2.2 goals
2 goal assists
9 score involvements
396 metres gained
3 inside 50s
1 mark (1 contested)

Bachar Houli
25 disposals (6 contested) 76%DE
5 tackles
1 clearance
1.2 goals
0 goal assists
4 Score involvements
694 metres gained
3 inside 50s
11 marks (1 contested)

Maybe if bachar kicked his goals it was probable.
The club that keeps giving.

Hmm ..they actually took the game of AFL to new lows ….last 5 years the game has been horrid ..and Richmond is a big part of that …it’s all about system ,I personally prefer flair ..just my opinion

Injuries at Richmond must be the first club to be in this predicament.
Quote from: floros_59
Arrogance and egotistical self esteem is a big concern for the club.

Poor Richmond. Geelong has had to have their home games against them at the mcg for years. Get over it and think your self lucky the game is even going ahead. First world problems

3 flags in 4 years and no one gives a f*** about you.

People will always rate Brisbane 01-03, Geelong 07-11 and Hawks 13, 14, 15 more than you. For the rest of time, no one will care about your dynasty and I know that hurts you.
Quote from: frggr
Damn man, did you have to go straight for the jugular?

That's the thing though. Richmond - 3 flags, zero respect
Quote from: catempire
I think there’s clearly some hurt there amongst Tiger fans that despite their flags they will not be spoken of with the same admiration as the other great sides of this modern era. They’ve played a brand that was extremely effective but garbage to watch and all the while their club has been full of unlikeable characters.

Good riddance. Whoever wins it this year will be a step up on their crap. Happy for them to retreat into irrelevance. We can help them on their way there this week.
Quote from: Down at K Park
You can see clearly the realisation they have that they are no longer relevant, and will most likely go back to another 3 decades of mediocrity. Back to 9th you braindead flogs.
Quote from: Cataholic
I wonder where all the Richmond supporters hibernated until 2017?

Or even where they've been the last 4 weeks..... Crying in a corner somewhere??
Quote from: Spearman
like some shroom species, they sprout in a pasture when the right amount of cow dung splats on top of them
Quote from: Ricketz
It looks like they are trying, the poor Tiggies - unlike Clarko who packed up bags mid way through 2009. They are just being shown up for the skillless hacks they have always been, sadly.

Quote from: Neil Stewart
It’s definitely hurt Richmond. They won 3 flags largely due to cheating the mark and creating turnovers.

Quote from: Neil Stewart
This loss to Geelong is even more embarrassing for Richmond than this year’s loss to Geelong was for West Coast.

Tigers coerced the AFL into inexplicably making Geelong play THEIR home game at Richmond’s home ground, and STILL got pantsed.

If your talking of the VFL biggest clubs It would be Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon
But if your talking about the new era it would be West Coast, Geelong and Hawthorn
Who do you think the biggest clubs are ?

Its fantastic. Their dynasty was inflated by one individual player too. Its clear as day. Their team is basically exactly the same (even stronger with Lynch).
