For a tall guy who was slow and spent 9 years in the system his body work and ruck work was average at best.  He knew he was slow from day 1 he should worked on his body on body work from the get go. No Shane Mumford.

Whatever he does in the future, I hope it goes better than his restaurant debt recovery endeavours

Can anybody confirm that the Hawks paid him out?

He will remain on the Hawthorn list fpr 2018

His manager was on SEN while I was driving home, said theyve negotiated a settlement on final year of his contract and it will be included in the Hawks 2018 salary cap

I believe Jake King was involved
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Got to hand it to Vickers though, never known someone to bat out of their league on so many fronts.

Let's just hope though that he and the missus have a few sons. With her genes in the mix, they could be anything as father son selections.

I'm paying him out right now.  The ball seemed to just go straight through his hands, like they were air filled silk bags...

As much as I hate Hawthorn I have to say that if a player retires I don't think the club should be obligated to pay him/her. Same with us and Yarran.

Agree, it's not like you can say to your boss, 'I meant to retire at 67 years old, but i'm 63 and want to retire now, i've lost passion for my job, but I want you to keep paying me for another 4 years'
And you may not think I care for you
