Didn't set the world on fire but still showed more than enough to be excited about.... :shh

Had a 5 min cameo patch in the ruck in the first qtr where he kicked a goal, set up another and should have kicked another himself. Didn't have any impact after that but that's not unexpected as that is where he is at given his age and lack of experience. I'd reckon he'll get another game next week given his versatility.

This is one guy who’s stats won’t always tell the correct story.

Keep playing this kid and get games into him as he will be a match winner.

Good debut IMO.

Need him against the Pies IMO not only to give Nank a chop out in the ruck but Balta's athleticism and natural spring will come in handy against the more mobile Grundy as well as Cox. Playing more athletic rucks tonight worked for Geelong to at least nullify Grundy. Cox was unsighted as the Cats didn't allow him a straight run and jump at the ball.

We always seem to get sliced apart by Cox and Sidearse, both players quiet tonight. Hardwick needs to see how the Cats contained them and use similar tactics next week. Noticed that Pies went pretty short up forward so without Rance they may push Cox closer to goal and bomb it in a bit more.

Hardwick also praised 19-year-old Noah Balta's effort in his second senior game and anticipated Richmond's injury issues would lead to other youngsters emerging.

I hope with Grimes coming back that allows Balta to spend time up the ground and in the ruck. We will need all the clearance wins we can get on Saturday.

Still reckon his best position is chb playing in rances spot.
Would bring moore in to the fwd half in Riewoldts spot.

Looking forward to seeing this guy again today.
I think he will improve with every game.

Still find it staggering Dimma dropped him after the first game.

Throw Stack and Ross in there today and imo it’s a real look at the future of this club.

Good luck to Bolton too- he has worked pretty hard by the looks of it.

He made some critical errors but I think he will be good for us long term.

I’ve got high expectations for him.
