I think the club realises some of these players aren’t good enough but it just isn’t possible to replace every single one of them through draft/trades together with all the retirees and wantaways.

1/2 year deals will have to be put up with but that’s where the club should draw the line. The 3 year deal given to Ryan is still one of the most baffling things I’ve seen.

I reckon he goes ok. We’re not going to build a backline around him but neither did we build one around Astbury. He may or may not make but is a solid interim option whilst we work all of that out long term.

Are you comparing him to Astbury? Because Dave is well well clear in that comparison.

Read the post. It’s not a direct comparison.

Only posting this because a few here will hope it's true even though it more than likely isn't but some flog on BF reckons West Coke are interested in him even though he just re-signed a few months ago..... :shh

Can't just post rumours from flogs on BigFooty, that's worse than those links we used to get in the politics thread...:shh :shh

Finished off the season really poorly. Has shown he can play though. I think with a stronger system and team defence he can be more than serviceable.

I still think some of you are too harsh on Ben.

I think most are too soft.  Guy has been on the list for 6+ seasons and still gets out bodied by 183cm flankers.  Soft as butter.

Been a fan over the journey but watching that 'contest' when he got pushed out by Long, some tiny soft nobody,  :-\

I wasn’t happy at the ground seeing that contest btw Miller and Long. Upon reflection it really was a very good entry kick to the forwards advantage. Long just had to guard space to take a relatively easy mark. Obviously youd have hoped miller could have put up a better contest against a smaller/lighter opponent but I don’t think it was as bad as I originally thought live. Then again I haven’t seen the tv replay which may make it look even worse lol.

Fair and reasonable, just not what I want from a full back, maybe he has been told he gives away too many frees, he won't get any wearing yellow and black though

She’s tall, let’s get him to 100 games
