PCL is a dog of an injury mate. Ruptured mine earlier this year.

I don't think Tom ever ruptured his so I hope they've sorted whatever the stuff the problem is

On the pcl I did both mine, they can come back fine when you are young and rehab and train properly BUT, there is an issue with the one of the muscles dying a bit and you lose mass.  Happened to me and I was running and doing heavy weights as soon as I could, didn't stop it on one leg though.  I was in my late thirties though and boy that poo aches now I can tell ya.
