With all the talk already about player movement, and what certain players are worth picks wise, we are basically getting the equivalent of 2 early first round picks for absolutely nothing when Lynch becomes officially a Tiger.
Not a bad consolation prize for a disappointing end to the season.
That is HUGE when you look at just that in isolation.

Put us out of our misery and just nominate us Lynch.  :gotigers

The man himself and his manager about to speak shortly. SEN taking the press conference live apparently.

Summary:
Three great clubs to choose from. Couldn't go wrong.
Chose Richmond because we needed a second tall forward and wants to learn from 3 time Coleman medal winner Jack.
Manager mentioned last years prelim crowd and felt that Tom should be playing in front of crowds like this.

Should start running agin in a month and should be right for JLT and round 1. Will see his surgeon Julian Feller on Friday.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Edit: Beat me too it, YaBB  :cheers.

Tom with his manager:

* Tom said he's looking forward to joining the Tigers. Glad to talk about it now that it's out in the open.

* Tough day to come in to tell his mates at the Suns that he loves them and they'd been through a lot together. But the right time to come back to Melbourne.

* Manager said if the Suns were playing finals he'll still be there. He leaves them in a good place with 3 good people as leaders. However, it was the right time for Tom to leave and come back to Melbourne.

* Tom said he decided on Richmond 3-4 weeks ago. Long decision first to decide to leave the Suns then a thoughtful process to pick the right club and let Gold Coast know he wants to become a Tiger.

* 3 great clubs were interested. No wrong decision. Richmond the best fit. Great to play alongside Jack Riewoldt and learn off him.

* His manager said they are confident Gold Coast won't match and it'll be a smooth process.

* Lynch has had one text from Jack at the end of the season. Looking forward to getting to know all the boys.

* Dimma told him Richmond will suit him as the Tigers needed a second tall forward.

* Didn't want to get too excited until it's official next week.

* Richmond won the premiership last year and made a Prelim this year. It'll be nice to hopefully play finals next year - I've never played finals before. It's not just about next year but the years to come.

* He should be running in a month. Confident he'll be right for the JLT series and round 1 next year.

Lynch's manager about to be interviewed by SEN.
Add nothing new. Just repeated what he said at the press conference. Now talking about other players.

Good stuff! Will truly celebrate when he's signed and wearing a Tiger polo top.

Afternoons with Andy Maher
‏@SENAfternoons

Richmond fans - the price for Tom Lynch coming in appears to be the likes of Lloyd, Conca, Townsend and Miles moving on. Are you happy with that? Who of those players would be most important to keep?

Not sure Maher knows how Free Agency works? Getting Lynch as a free agent means you don't have to trade for him. He has nothing to do with those leaving, Andy!

From a salary cap perspective it absolutely does.

He's obviously referring to our salary cap though I dare suggest we're also making room for another target..... :shh
