Geez the baggers who went early are looking pretty dumb now

Yes there are some incredible comments from pages 89 onwards that went whackety, whack, whack

Would love for some of those who over reacted and posted as such to have the courage and say they got it horribly wrong. They won't but should

Just say in ^^^^

I may have been a touch critical of his intent early in the year. I suppose I was impatient because I knew of his talent but wasn’t seeing it enough on game day.  The game against North really annoyed me and I did go pretty hard because I thought his intent wasn’t there that night.  :booboo

I’m glad he’s now finding the form I expected from him and I’m glad to look foolish now because he is worth every cent that he is paid.  :thumbsup
The club that keeps giving.

Embarrassing last night Tom
Ball hits his hands and bounces off
No leadership
Doesn’t ruck
Useless below the knees
And got towelled up by Jackson Trengove who is on a pie and a packet of chips for his yearly wage , spare me please
What does Tom actually do ?

Dominates the contested pill
Kicks goals at crucial stages of the match
Moves beautifully for his height
Is as clean below his knees as I’ve ever seen a 6ft 6’er

^^Close to your best post ever Jack.

I had no idea he was as bruising a footballer as he is until the last 3 weeks. Just smashes into blokes. Great to watch!

Criticism was deserved sometimes but too harsh. I think many have underestimated the effects of the knee surgery/lack of preseason.

Clearly Tom's whole year up until the bye was effectively his preseason and match fitness. Look at him now - chalk and cheese.

BS Jackstar!

You went beyond hard at him which was unwarranted, and that is not even just an opinion, its a fact.
That crap about your  daughter was embarrassing!!

For someone who watches training weekly from behind a locked gate you should have more of a clue of what sort of training he had been able to do.

When you went hard at him he was 3rd in the Colman Medal so he must have been doing more than just a little right, albeit playing under done.

But good on you for posting you were wrong and I think everyone knows you love Richmond.

Bottom line is that you still based an entire argument on how crap Lynch was on what a little girl supposedly told you... :shh

Tom Lynch was terrible 6 weeks ago
To his credit and benefit to the club he has turned it around
Move on

The only ones  are the self-styled "experts" like you & Matthew Lloyd who expected him to be kickng bags, crashing packs and wreaking havoc from the get go and turning on a five cent piece after knee surgery, 9 months out and no pre-season...and then still expected him to do it all without Riewoldt and a depleted midfield that was just bombing the ball in blindly...... :shh

If you listen to Matty Lloyd comments today , he was entitled to his opinions and backed it up with evidence etc
The Tom Lynch of Friday night is totally different to the Tom Lynch of two months ago re running patterns and wrestling with opponents
I love the Tom Lynch of Friday night
More of that please

I guess that the main issue here is anyone with any knowledge about the injury he had, the rather unique surgery he had and the very limited preseason he had, would have realised he would have never been the player he is now back in the early rounds. The club kept telling everyone that they didn’t expect much from him apart from competing in the air, not getting outmarked and bringing the ball to ground which he did. So harsh criticism of him was totally unwarranted. Totally.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
