Wonderful news about our Tom Lynch , but can’t say how disappointed I am at this level of journalism , is there no fact checking before a story is published?

Ha ha, that’s gold. Was this miss by the DM sub editor as bad as the miss by Harry Kane?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Mitch Cleary on 7news just said Lynch is absent from preseason training with plantar fasciitis foot pain.

9news called it simply heel soreness.

If it's plantar fasciitis I'd appreciate Tom's advice on how to overcome it  ;D

I've been managing it now for 2 months and it's not getting better  :help

Get a squishy rubber ball - the sort that offers some resistance - and jam it under your foot when you're sitting down, then roll it around beneath your affected foot. Worked for me a few years back. :)

Interesting. I used a hard wooden ball.

The pain went as suddenly as it started and haven't had any problems with it since

Reigning club champion Tom Lynch (plantar fascia soreness) was notably absent from Richmond’s last session of the year at Beaconsfield’s Holm Park Reserve on Tuesday. Jack Graham (toe) has also been on modified duties.

Grimes, who has recovered from the hamstring surgery that ended his season, played down Lynch’s injury, saying the high-performance staff were simply being conservative with the star forward.

“It’s still such early days. You don’t want to take any risks before that Christmas block,” he said.

“Tom’s an exceptional player. We’re just going to manage him through this time, and he’s a bit of an aerobic beast, so missing a bit of pre-season won’t hurt him too much. Hopefully, we’ll see him back out on the park very soon.”

I've come to think that it's connected to the auto-immune system, somehow.  If you have it bad, it'll take about 9 months to clear fully.  There are a number of medical procedures you can have, but none seem to make a lot of difference in my experience.  You can try high priced specialist sports physios.  In the end, the solution for me was to suck it up and wait for it to get better.  It did.
