He needs to bulk up more and for those tackle numbers to at least double. Houli, McIntosh and Broad are holding down the positions in the senior side that Markov would need to displace. Broad missing the first 3 rounds provides an opportunity if Oleg has a strong JLT series.

Generally agree with Dio but I think Oleg can make it. Has amazing closing speed and can also be swung forward although the latter has rarely been utilised by our coaching staff. Agree with MT that he needs to put on more bulk and strength. Can play on smalls and midsized forwards and provides good dash out of defence.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Agree with Doc.

Lot of upside

Reckon he and Short are the 2 front-runners for Broad's spot

I actually hope we give Markov a go further up the ground, and see him providing competition for both McIntosh and Lambert rather than the guys who play deeper in defence.

I like McIntosh, can't go past having a good West Aussie in the team, but of all the spots in our best 22, I see his as being under the most pressure.

It really would not surprise me if Markov gets the chance to play more of a defensive wing like McIntosh does. He has very similar attributes to Kamdyn.

Either that, or with his Dad's genes maybe he will take Griggy's role as undersized back-up ruckman :)

Interesting to see what Carracella and Leppa are cooking for this year.

Looks increasing likely they are working Drummond, Markov and Ellis to be tried as replacements across midfield/forward.
Can thus replace Rioli and Broad early and McIntosh maybe later.

Lots of the youngster getting a taste due to unavailability.
Short for Houli.
Markov for Broad.
Drummond/Ellis/Lloyd for Rioli.
