The Swans challenge to us in top spot looks to have quickly ran out of puff. Not only two straight losses but they are now struggling to score. Just 12 shots against us and only 14 tonight. They were lucky to avoid thumpings by kicking unbelievably accurately against us (11.1 to 14.9) and that Geelong couldn't kick straight tonight (9.5 to 8.23).

If results this weekend go our way (i.e. us winning and Collingwood & Eagles both losing) then we could end up 2 games clear of 3rd and cement a top 2 spot.

The only good thing about an Essendon vs Collingwood game is that one of them has to lose (unless it's a draw and neither win) :yep.

Norf crowd today 14k :facepalm

When the “second best team in the comp” stumbles over the line against the 12th best....

Well that puts a dent in Essendon's premiership chances :rollin.

When the “second best team in the comp” stumbles over the line against the 12th best....
& 12th best who were down one of the bench for most of the game.

Some charitable umpiring as well for the Pies to get them over the line which isn't surprising given they are top of the free kick differential ladder ::).

Terrible standard game skill wise by the way. Turnovers galore by both sides which is why the scoring was so low. If the Pies dish that up in Round 19 we'll win by 10+ goals.

If that’s the challenger then bring it on.

The Eagles at home have knocked off GWS 86-75.

So the Giants are back outside the 8 and if we beat them next week we'll pretty much end their finals chances.

Lions knock off the Hawks again; this time down in Tassie. Not sure of their draw but Brisbane could prove to be a slippery banana skin for other sides vying for the finals.
