Brisbane turns it over to Grimes. Long to the top of the square and Hodge concedes the point.

The Tigers are ranked number one in the competition for scoring from intercepts. They already have 4 intercepts in their midfield, which they have converted into 1.2.8.

Cotch to Butler to Jack 35m out directly in front. Pushes it right.

Graham gets the intercept. Free against Hodge to Georgie. Goes long to the square and Brisbane clear until they are caught holding the ball. Georgie with the free. To the square again and Jack flies and takes a great pack mark. Goal  :gotigers.

Brisbane are flooding.

Prestia inside 50 from the centre clearance. It's a throw-in 15m out. Brisbane get the free but can only go back-and-forth sideways until they kick it OOTF. The long kick from Jack is rushed for a point.

The Tigers are dominating the time in forward half (63 - 37) per cent and have had 6 of the last 8 inside 50's. From these entries, 5 have come from intercepts and converted into 2.2.14.

Houli to midfield to Lambert. Draws the man on the mark and over to Short to Grigg who goes inside F50 and Caddy marks 30m out. Goal  :gotigers.

Caddy to Geogie to Lambert out of the centre. Goes long. Townsend mows down May and it's a scramble for the footy. Cotch back to Towner to Dusty but it's spoiled and it's a throw in by the point post. Loose ball from the throw-in and Dusty gets the free for too high. Goal  :gotigers

The ball is locked in the Tigers forward half. From 9 defensive half chains, Brisbane has been intercepted 7 times and are yet to create an inside 50 from this source.

The Tigers have now created 10 inside 50's to 2 from intercept chains. They have been able to score easily from this source, generating a score from 60 per cent of these inside 50's.

Shocking kick by Brisbane at CHB. And we get the turnover and 6 or 7 Tigers can raffle it. Ellis with the set shot. Misses.

Caddy on the wing to Grimes but he coughs it up. Good team pressure saves the day and Rance marks. it ends up with grigg who goes to jack inside 50 to Georgie on a tight angle. 50 secs to go coast to coast and we did it in 40s. Goal on the siren  :gotigers.

Quarter time

Richmond  5.5-35
Brisbane    0.2-2

Goals: Martin 2, Caddy, Riewoldt, Castagna.

A couple of sloppy moments especially early on but overall we got going and dominated all over the ground thanks to our pressure and ballwinners.

Richmond lead both the contested possession count (34-24) and are applying more pressure, winning the tackle count (12-9).

Conca free for too high against Hodge. Astbury now too easy around a Lion and Jack marks 35 out. Swirly breeze and he misses.
