Apr 24, 2018 5:08PMA CONTRACT extension is on the radar for Richmond livewire and fan-favourite Jack Higgins.
It is understood the 19-year-old's management has held preliminary talks with the premiers regarding a deal beyond his current two-year draftee contract.
The potential two-year extension will keep the dynamic half-forward at Punt Road until at least the end of 2021.
Picked up with selection No.17 overall in last year's NAB AFL Draft, Higgins burst onto the scene in round three with a pair of electric goals against Hawthorn.
He earned his early debut after impressing over the pre-season with his enthusiasm and pure love for the game, which stems back to his childhood.
At just 13, Higgins and his family employed well-known fitness coach Bohdan Babijczuk to help improve his running to boost his chances of an AFL career.
Higgins will play his second AFL game on Tuesday night after being recalled to the Tigers' side for the Anzac Day Eve clash with Melbourne at the MCG.
