I reckon Cotchin and Prestia miss this week to have them cherry ripe for the game after.

Soldo in for Prestia

What giving character references at bail hearings?

Was referring to Brando having done some extras over pre-season with some of the young guys. Jack Graham was involved, that boy is wise beyond his years.

Not sure what is wrong with Brandon giving a character reference.  :huh

In the mix: round eight

RICHMOND

Get them in: Trent Cotchin will come back after missing Sunday's win over Fremantle with complications from the collision knee injury he sustained the week before. Anthony Miles continues to play above VFL level while he waits for his opportunity.

Under the pump: Hard to pick unforced omissions after a 77-point win, but Jack Higgins could be due for a rest after three games in 13 days while Sam Lloyd's status as the 23rd man could see him bounced again despite a decent performance as a late inclusion against the Dockers.

Medical room:
Cotchin returns but Shaun Grigg (hamstring) will likely miss again. Dion Prestia hasn't been entirely ruled out, but his calf soreness won't be taken lightly and he won't play if there's any doubt.

Verdict: Cotchin in for Prestia. Brandon Ellis played in the VFL but didn't set the world on fire, which complicates whether he deserves a recall. Toby Nankervis will likely have a rest soon and Ivan Soldo is ready if it's this week.

I wouldn't drop Lloyd. There's a few ahead of him right now
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Lloyd's kicking is a real asset but I think he will be the one that makes way for Cotchin.

Hearing that Martin and Nankervis unlikely to play, Prestia and Grigg ruled out and Cotch is touch and go.

If Dusty does line up, he will most likely play FF for majority of game.

Our midfield will be very suspect this weekend if mail is correct.

Quote
Dusty has been injured for around a month now, the feeling is because of the 3 games in quick succession if Cotch had of got up last weekend Dusty would have had a rest vs Freo. Don't be surprised if he spent majority of this game forward and then have the rest vs the Eagles but I am hearing the club would prefer to rest Martin and Nank for this game and have them ready for the big clash with WCE but with Prestia getting injured, Grigg already ruled out and Cotch 50/50 its made it more complicated to give them a rest.

Quote
Assistant coach from Richmond is where it was coming from.
Take a look at Dusty's TOG last week 78% and they have been trying to manage him for a month or so now with TOG and playing majority up forward where possible.

I looked at TOG stat before the Collingwood game and it was low in those 3 weeks leading up with him playing most of the game v Lions in forward line. My mail is that he may have had a mental health night with a few lads after the maggies game but who knows?

I am concerned more by the surface at Optus Stadium in Perth. We cant afford for any of our top liners to injure themselves on that surface. Id rest all our top players against the Eagles, its not worth it for 1 game. We have bigger fish to fry in September.

I would play Martin forward. He is carrying an injury since the 2nd half of the Adelaide match.

Prestia OUT Cotchin IN

I would rest Nank v West Coast, and Dusty too!

If Cotchin is 100% play him. If not, Miles!

I am concerned about our tall forward stock. Anyone pushing?
