The “fascinating” list decisions facing Richmond Tigers

By SEN
16 May 2018

The Herald Sun's Sam Edmund says Richmond could be facing a challenging list management period if Tom Lynch decides to join the club.

A host of Tigers are out of contract at season’s end, and with the premiers a major player to secure Lynch’s services on big money, Edmund has pondered what will happen to some of their middle-tier players if the Gold Coast forward comes to Punt Road.

“What they do from here from a list management perspective will be absolutely fascinating,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“Watch this space at Punt Road. They’re in a bit of a holding phase, Blair Hartley the list manager is overseas.

“A number of their players around the fringes, inside and outside of the side, that are of a similar ilk, are out of contract.

“Corey Ellis can’t get a game, will they keep Shaun Grigg, Bachar Houli, Nathan Broad, Sam Lloyd, Reece Conca is also out, Connor Menadue, Shai Bolton. Does the salary cap squeeze these guys?

Regardless of whether Lynch comes or not we will see players leave. Just a fact of life in AFL world.

Good problem to have. Get extra draft picks and continue to bring young players in

Id expect to see at least one of Miles, Lloyd or Conca on a different clubs list next year.

Don't be surpirised if Collingwood gazump us for Lynch but we end up with Moore & De Goey..... :shh

We need another big inside mid and more midfield depth in general- if we're looking for bargains we could do a lot worse than Mitch Grigg.....hasn't been getting regular games at Adelaide for about 3 years now.... :shh :shh

On the KPP front -Allir Aliir still hasn't cemented his spot at Sydney.... :shh :shh :shh

I would pass on Moore but would like to se us target DeGoey and Alir Alir as two players who could help us.

Moore is overrated.
We can use the first rounder we get from Freo for Bolton to get De Gooey who is a real talent

It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

De Goey seems like one big problem in a footballers body.  I'd leave him be myself

People used to say the same thing about Dusty at the same age....
