How does everyone feel about scully? I’m a fan and would definitely be an upgrade on our current wingman but is he the midfield type we need more than a inside contested clearance player?

Also hesitant to give up many draft picks, Looks like most of our senior vfl boys will be off so essentially our reserve midfielders will be gone. We really need to focus on restocking our next generation of mids through the draft.

I'm inclined to agree - whilst the prospect of Scully delivering it lace out to Riewoldt & Lynch is certainly mouth watering we need to actually win it & get it out to him first.....would  also hope next year's first rounder would be the starting point....we might have to settle for a Tyson or even Libba as our inside targets if we get Scully.....definitely would only give up a second round pick at the most or someone like Menadue for either of them.... :shh

How the stuff would Carlton pitch to Shiel? "Yeah Dylan, look you've played finals the past few years and, look, we're pretty poo. But our old pres owned Visy and we get some great deals on cardboard"

I'm a fan.

Would love to hear the commentators telling us what a running machine he is 30 times a game too.

If Scully is at his gut running best he would be an amazing asset. Good clean disposal also and his absence from GWS really took them out of top 4 contention. He also barracked for Richmond as a junior as well right?

His old man is going to be welcomed around the club if that happened lol.

As for a trade: a straight Lloyd-Libba jnr swap?

Ewww to Libba. Can play, but doesn't he have a few... issues currently?

Scully would be awesome but I don't believe it. Would prefer to get an equally talented inside midfielder though if I had the choice.

I don't get some of you

Lynch & Scully into the club is the stuff dreams are made of...:shh

Had we done the job this year and gone back to back...these boys would have confirmed a future 5-peat...:shh :shh

I’m not overly excited about Scully either. Just never been that much of a fan. Good player, not great sums him up IMO.
Prefer to target SPP. With the right mentoring he could be anything I reckon.

I’d also like Mitch Grigg, I said that on here a while back when he was struggling to get a game at Adelaide.

Whoever we might get in this year in addition to Lynch  (and I am not sure we will go for another name player) is going to be on a minimum contract.

I think we are clearing space at the moment for another recruiting coup next season. Cerra's name keeps popping up on here, and I have it from a good Freo sourcethat they are resignedto losing him next year. Whether that is to us or someone else remains to be seen.
