Judging on the talk on Footy Classified, Beames wants to return to Melbourne after the death of his father.

Noting that he left Collingwood to go to the Lions when his dad was sick with cancer, it is interesting that he may not want to go back to the Pies.
The deal was done in 2014 and sent Beams and pick 67 to Brisbane for picks 5, 25 and Jack Crisp.
At 28, I don't think the Lions would be getting anything like a top ten pick now however he has been and still is one of the shining lights for Brisbane.
