Conca was in our top three.

Anyone who says otherwise can go stub their toe on a couch.
He wasn't top 3 and I'm more impartial with him.

Players better than him were:
Edwards
Caddy
Short
Nankervis
Dusty

Agree, would put him in our top half dozen. Needs to keep working and improving

The Barometer - Round 12

Herald-Sun
4 June 2018

ON THE BLOCK: Hard to see too many changes being made to the Tigers’ outfit that so comprehensively dismantled Essendon in the Dreamtime game. Even without important players Dion Prestia and Bachar Houli, Richmond is still getting the job done with a minimum of fuss and with plenty of intent.

ON THE CUSP: Sadly, Mabior Chol won’t be among those considered in the coming weeks for the Tigers after he broke his foot during training this week. In his post-match press conference on Saturday night, Damien Hardwick explained how Chol was one of the most exciting players at the club, but he now faces a long period on the sidelines. The Tigers had another big win in the VFL yesterday with Anthony Miles collecting 43 disposals and kicking three goals. Sam Lloyd had similar numbers and Daniel Rioli also kicked one as he nears a comeback from a broken foot. Is this the week?

GLENN McFARLANE’S FORECAST: Richmond’s ‘Triple H’s’ played a role in the club’s 2017 premiership. Hardwick is convinced the flag defence is being fuelled by two more ‘h’s’ — humility and hunger. He said two of the hungriest players for more success were skipper Trent Cotchin and Dustin Martin, but that is gently balanced by their humble personalities. The Tigers have owned the MCG for a year-and-a-half now, but face a big challenge this Friday night on the road against Port Adelaide.

Can include in that list Rance. Conca did play well against the Bombers but needs to do this on a consistent basis.

Conca needed that performance, had been down on his run of form. Also take it with a grain of sand, as they were shyte and we were really solid all over the ground.

Thought Lambert was down, but keeps his spot.

Maybe Higgins goes out and Lambert plays more as a half forward, allowing Miles to come in for a run?

Think you need to go lie down on the couch..... :shh

In the Mix - Round 12

RICHMOND

Get them in: Daniel Rioli impressed in his third game back – his first full hit-out since the Grand Final – and appears ready to come in. There isn't much more Anthony Miles can do at VFL level, he had 43 disposals and kicked three goals on the weekend, while Sam Lloyd and Corey Ellis also impressed.

Under the pump: Hard to individualise here after the Tigers' 71-point win over Essendon. No one stands out as a glaringly deserving omission.

Medical room: Bachar Houli won't play until after the bye while Dion Prestia remains a few weeks away. Jason Castagna was rated a chance to face the Bombers and will again come into calculations this week.

Verdict: If Rioli's ready, it's hard to see the coaches going past him. Who he comes in for is another story; Jack Higgins perhaps, although Kane Lambert was uncharacteristically quiet against the Bombers. Jacob Townsend had his time managed in the VFL on Sunday so he's possibly in consideration having impressed with the contested side of his game. One thing's for sure; there's a selection squeeze at the Tigers and you don't want to lose your spot.

Rioli could be a like for like swap for Higgins. I am hoping Miles gets a crack for his consistent VFL performances and you would think McIntosh could be on the chopping block as 8 possessions for a wingman is pretty poor but Miles doesn't really have the body or the tank to be a like for like swap. Maybe give mountain dew a stint in the VFL?

Top 5 Tiger out: Ch 7
« Reply #39 on: June 06, 2018, 07:04:57 PM »
Mark Stevens on Ch 7 tonight:

* Richmond had a closed session today. No cameras were allowed.

* Rioli trained strongly today and has put his name up to play in the seniors this week.

* Following on from YaBB's scoop in the injury thread, Stevens said a top 5 Tiger is unlikely to make the trip to Adelaide.

Was thinking the same about Nank, he looks tired and sore

Shouldn’t have played against the Saints

It's not Nank as he was interviewed on Ch 7 tonight saying he's looking forward to taking on Paddy Ryder in the ruck.
