Hardwick's post-match media conference
« on: June 28, 2018, 11:03:43 PM »
Dimma's post-match presser:

* Conca - Don't know the full severity of the injury. Reece is a popular and important player to us.

* Riewoldt - Jack was fantastic. He's been a solid contributor without the plaudits. Tonight was one of his best with his marking.

* Umps - up to you (media) to make the call on too much umpire intervention. Let the players play. Happy to have free kicks paid if they are there. Just don't make them up.

* Buddy 50 - Tom Browne asked Dimma if that was the free kick that gave Dimma the most frustration. Dimma gave a wry smile and just replied "frustration" is a good word.

* Rance - good to see him & Buddy go toe-to-toe. Alex played well. Rance is fine from having his throat whacked.

* Being one down and others with knocks - shows the resilience of the group to persist and fight on. To be fair the Swans were without Heeney for the second half.

* Good game tonight. Contested, tough tackling, etc. Thought Kennedy was great tonight. All what our game is about. Sometimes we forget how good our game is.

* Each week is as hard as any other [for the playerds and their bodies] to get up. Adelaide next week won't be any different.

* Dusty - is fully fit. Hewett has done a great job on his opponents this year. Had impact on the game when it mattered.

* We're fortunate that others step up. Prestia & Caddy. Our players know you can still tackle and chase when the game is going their way.

* Cotch with Jack & Rance as leaders keep prodding to get better. They drive the team with not much input from Dimma.

* We don't look too far ahead. Enjoy the win tonight then review the game on Sunday and go again next Friday night. Adelaide did embarrass us last time.

* Higgins - adds so much run when the game starts slowing. Funny kid who is going to get better and better.
