Short steppin' Lambert - VFL standard.... :shh

 :shh :shh

As per usual, no criticism of him here... :shh

he has been one of the worst this year compared with the rest of the team. That pitiful effort where he heard footsteps typified his game IMO and really his year.

Garthwaite lol, who would he have played on?

Ellis :shh
What happened to your definitive statement that Ellis was picked to play?  :lol

Was told thursday morn Astbury was in a bad way and if he wasn't picked, it would be Ellis to play. Turns out they should have stuck to that hey  :shh Was a close call all the way up to an hour before the game

Astbury spent most of the day in hospital Thursday on a drip - should never have played last night.

Maybe he could have defended the space in front of cox and came in and spoiled from the side like astbury should have been doing. Ellis would have added nothing to our defence yesterday which were absolutely horrible.
Should’ve been Garthwaite playing they never would of been B Ellis.
But our defence was only as bad as our mids let them be. No pressure on the Ball carrier at all. The pies smashed us in the midfield winning ball amd we didn’t pressure like we normally do. Instead we were the team under pressure. The ball was just coming in non stop.
Our defensive structure was stuffed too with Astbury a shadow of himself. Allowing them the luxury of degoey on Rance played into their hands. We all know Grimes should’ve taken him from the start. Rance then could just do what he does best but Collingwood won the match up. We were out coached and outplayed. Not going to stop Cox on a lead without pressure and defensive structure. Simple.
The club that keeps giving.

Collingwood's pressure was off the charts -  Bellis would've spent the night in the fetal position under those conditions... :shh

Yep

Dimma mentioned it in his presser

Actually have no issue with them playing him

If our delivery into our F50 was professional rather than amateur under 12's rubbish then plonking him one out in the goal square would have worked

The one I'm furious about is Astbury. He was non competitive all night. Garthwaite should have played

This plus Conca lost it for us.

Yep.

Damian Barrett this morning said "we now know Neil Balme a liar" but he won't mind me saying that as "he'll wear that tag (re: lying for his club) as a badge of honour".

100% correct
Dusty playing was laughable
Couldn’t run one lap a week earlier and Balmey comes out and says nothing wrong with him , please Neil
Watch him at every stoppage on Friday night  😂
Could of played Snip Miles and at least he would of won a clearance
As for Dave , hospital one day , playing elite sport the next
Spare me please
