Ross spent the 3rd most time at centre bounces against Melbourne. Even more than Cotch.

Ross to debut against Port Adelaide

Mitch Cleary,
AFL Media
Apr 11, 2019

Senior coach Damien Hardwick has this morning confirmed Jack Ross will make his AFL debut this Saturday against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

Ross, 187cm and 87kg, was selected at pick no. 43 overall in the 2018 national draft, and is the first of Richmond’s 2018 draft class to gain a senior berth.

A big-bodied midfielder who shows great composure with ball in hand, Ross comes into Richmond’s round four side after strong recent VFL form.

We've loved the way he plays, he's tough, he's hard, he brings a real Richmond attitude to the way we're going to play this ball game," Hardwick said on Thursday.

"I think he's one of those kids that slept with a footy when he was a young kid.

"He's a very quiet lad but he plays the game in a brutal way and I think Richmond supporters are going to fall in love with him."

Watched this guy live against the pies in the vfl praccy match.
He was barking orders.
Getting to contests.
Clean.
Hard.
I think we have something in this bloke if he carries it over to AFL level.

Good luck to the kid.

16 possies in a half on debut  :o. Immense second qtr.

Jack Ross is enjoying an impressive debut. He is up to 10 disposals, four contested possessions, three intercept possessions, three score involvements, two clearances and two inside 50s this term, all quarter-highs.

Has to be one of the best debuts I have seen for the club, especially given the responsibility he took on with our key midfielders out.

Mind you, Dean Polo had a good debut too, even got 3 Brownlow votes for it I think..…..

Just stick with it young Ross.

Was huge
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
