Got ragdolled badly

Most of the team got ragdolled badly, including blokes bigger and far more match hardened & experienced than Ross...just like last time we played Geelong.... :shh

Want to try him as an extractor. Nothing wrong with an inside mid who handballs it more often than not.

But he needs to put on weight and play inside along with Graham etc.

Agree with this. He along with Graham need to start playing in the middle as this is their strength not as flankers. Ross could be a handy mid if he can put on another 5kg in the off season.

Dont disagree, but i reckon the club got him to trim down to play wing

He caertainly hasnt looked as strong as he did in his frist season.

I think people need to realise this kid is still only 20.

His Clearance and contested ball numbers along with tackling is way down. Obviously this happens because we just have not played him inside.

Not prepared to write him off given his age and where we are playing him.

Biggest problem is his kicking but if played inside this becomes less of an issue.I also think at 20 he will learn to kick within his limits.

I sort of get why hes been played more outside. they obviously thought he needed to be more involved and find a bit more ball  and some easy ball on the outside would help.

If has continues to stagnate next year  maybe then would be the time to look at his spot.

How did we all see Ross' return to the seniors?

24 disposals (13k, 11h, 11c, 12u, 70.8% eff.)
5 marks (1 contested)
4 tackles
4 clearances (3 centre clearances)
6 inside 50s
448m gained
7 intercepts
1 score involvement
79% time on ground.

Will he remain a Tiger on the back of that?

Surely in our plans moving forward. Liked the look of him with more midfield time, thought some of the skills learnt as an intercepting HBF actually helped during his time in the middle.

Agree with others that he looks a lot better as a pure mid, rather than a flanker.

Must play solely as a contested mid, cant continue with the flanker outside role as he isnt quick enough

Amazing what happens when you play blokes on their best positions...too bad we've realised this too late and he'll likely be demonstrating this further at another club while we bring in some dud like Narkle...  :banghead

If we lose Ross for Narkle not a good scenario IMO
