VFL report could thwart Stack as he stakes AFL claimDaniel Cherny

July 5, 2021 The AFL has confirmed Stack was reported for striking the Bullants’ Sunny Brazier, with the incident to be reviewed on Monday.
Richmond’s VFL side lost by 13 points to the Northern Bullants on Saturday but Stack, who hasn’t played at AFL level since his 10-match suspension for a hub breach on the Gold Coast last year, had 29 disposals in the clash at Preston City Oval.
West Australian Stack is out-of-contract at season’s end but there is no rush for a new deal. Instead the Tigers and Stack’s management decided to let things play out until late in the season after an off-season in which Stack found himself in jail in WA after breaking bio-security rules.
“No discussions around future contract at this point – that was planned [for] well in the back end of season just leave pressure off Syd and the club,” his manager Paul Peos of Inside 50 said on Sunday.
“He is more generally going really well, happy, fit and playing consistently good footy at VFL level and keen to get [an] opportunity to go up.”
