Most supporters aren't worried about heroism, they just want unconditional effort every week.    :whistle

Pre season as well as the season proper JP
Yep, good call HRT.  Add pre-season to that, & even post-season deserves a mention ...

Dimma talking about Syd on Talking Tigers:

"One of the players as a coaching staff we love what he can do. We've just got to get him to the required fitness level at the moment. He's not too far away. He's probably got more ability that 90% of the players in the AFL. We've just got to get him to the stage where he can play that consistent footy we know he can play for the season. The half-forward line excites us. He can do things other people can't. We like those guys that can win the hard ball and chase and tackle at the same time. We put him on a wing on the weekend just to give him a bit of freedom to see what that looked like. I think he grew into the role. The second half our coaches said he was a bit better with that and got a greater understanding. We threw him in there cold turkey so he didn't have an idea what we were after but as I [Dimma] said he grew into the role."

Imo if they play him as a forward for the year we will be looking to delist him at the end of it.

The way we are going about it id say players like Mansell and Stack would be better off looking at other clubs in stacks case  just to get a good crack it in his right position and Mansell just to get a go.

Mansell is a better defender than both Short and Rioli.

If we start slowly this year i hope they see the light and start playing a few instead of favorites.

Mate Mansell established himself in the best 22 last year  not a issue for me.Stack needs to get his fitness right and fits all over the ground forus.

Mansell is a good player.

I suspect Stack will be let go. Has shown two years in a row now he doesn't have the discipline.

I think you could be right, this year is make or break, not the first to waste immense talent. I note he will need his spot as he has zero in the bank.

"His training form has been good and his form at VFL level has been stellar as well," Hardwick said about Stack, who has only played 16 games since his breakthrough 2019 season.

"Defensively he's been very, very good. Offensively, Sydney will always impact the game. He's quite special in that part of it. We want to see his defensive elements come out.

"He helps us play. We're looking forward to it back in his home state. He'll hopefully have a big impact on the game."

Always wonder what the TV doesn't show us

We can't see what sort of running he is doing, pressuring. Etc

I know people hate when I bring it up but we don't know what they've asked him to do; his role. To the coaches he just needs to be doing what they've asked him

"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Made a few goals despite minimal stats.

Might be a stiff drop next week unfortunately.

Agree. Played better than his startling suggests. Would like to see him given a block of games and then rate him from there.
