Only 115m gained that will rub some of our posters here the wrong way.

Oh wait, he's not a whipping boy like Rioli.

Oh and meters gained is a crap stat.

Great game, hope he plays out the year and get another contract. Lots of upside, especially if we can keep him in Vic over summer.
I regarded Stacks game as good. Especially great to see him back in the team.
But unlike Rioli, which Hardwick already previously stated that we need him to “run & carry” as a replacement for the injured Houli, Stacks role isn’t to be an attacking defender creating plays from half back, nor is Mansell required to play that role.
Unless that role changes for them then yes I personally would expect a greater capacity to “gain metres” for the team.
Again Stacks role is different but even though it’s different to Rioli’s on the day he still managed to triple the metres gained of that of Rioli, who’s role was as a replacement for Houli and in that role Rioli failed miserably to the point an injured Houli would’ve been a better option.

Maybe Stack is the answer in the Houli role.

Stack's always been the answer to the Houli role... :shh

Yep, a born footballer...
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

“He [Stack] was pretty good . . . What I’m looking forward to is his second game back,” Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said in his post-match press conference.

“It’s what he does with the knowledge that he takes out of the journey he’d had thus far, but more importantly, what he learns and how he grows from it . . .

“We know how good he can be. I want to see what he does with it.

“That’s his challenge. He’s too good a player to not be playing AFL.

“He’s got a chance now, and we’ll see how he goes.”

What I like about Stack is he goes for the attacking option when it's on which opens up the play. He doesn't play it slow and down the line. Some of his passes last night into the corridor and/or on the 45 were sublime.

And he’s hard at it and good defensively to boot!

Mansell and even Rioli looked good down back but I’m hoping stack is the one that keeps his spot once broad, vlas, balta return.
