So much for the recruitment of home grown talent to avoid the “go home factor”.
Looks as though the ‘17 gf loss has ruined them and the players can’t get out fast enough.
The club that keeps giving.

What would be the going rate for a star like Rory Laird?
Money and draft pick/trade required to get him?

I would pay him $600/$650k for 5 years and give our first pick this year and Bellis or Markov and Menadue for him.

I would even consider trading Jack Graham if it got the job done.

How old is Laird and what is his contract situation?

Turns 26 two days before Xmas. :shh

Would give up first & Markov ( Crows rate him highly, contracted and woud need to agree but  he's from SA)..chuck in Menadud for 5th round pick next year as steak knives if need be... they have a need, a need for speed... :shh :shh

If B Ellis goes for $600k and nets us an end of first round pick then we should consider doing something like that ^

I wouldn't pay much more than that though. End of first round + steak knife. Laird is a good player, that's all.

Laird's a gun - almost Adelaide's best and most important player - add him & get Rance back and we'd be slicing through sides and cutting them to ribbons on the rebound just for fun...though FWIW right now I can't see us getting him or even trying to and another thing to consider is that we also want Crouch from them, though that could change as certain other inside mids become available...which from all reports, they will... :shh

First round pick and a fringe player for Laird? Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I’d think they’d ask for more though considering his age and 2xAA.

Don't think these Adelaide players will go anywhere if Pyke gets sacked  ;D

Christopher Pyne has been called in to "fix" the mess at Adelaide.  You know, because he's a "fixer"!!

I think we need to be careful going forward. I dont think we need to be bringing in players from other clubs. Id prefer for us to continue adding to our young player stocks by going to the draft this year.
