His uncle said he is going to Freo a couple of weeks ago. I’m not sure if he just assumed so or he was given a definitive offer.

Yes in an era where speed is the hottest commodity one club might sign him as a DFA but only after that same club was offered him for a late pick and preferred to trade a higher pick for James Aish instead ...  :biglaugh

BTW latest reports are that Freo have gone cold on Connor and the mighty Werribee are into him...so looks like Machine might get his wish and his boy will still be a Tiger after all.... :clapping  :gotigers :shh

Carlton is willing to pay Jack Martin $1m for his first season  :gobdrop. Compare that to us getting an experienced gun key forward in Tom Lynch for less  :lol.



Carlton's gaping salary cap hole in 2020 will see pending recruit Jack Martin demand around $1million for his first season in navy blue.

Martin delisted himself from Gold Coast on Monday, nominating terms for a new home in the upcoming NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

It is believed the five-year contract request is valued at close to $650,000 per season.

Sam Murray met with Greater Western Sydney and Melbourne in recent weeks and received some interest from reigning premier Richmond and North Melbourne.

He is able to train with an AFL club from December 17 and can play from February 17, when his 18-month ban ends for cocaine being detected in his system in a match-day test.

Delisted Richmond premiership player Jacob Townsend looks set for an AFL lifeline, with Essendon set to give him a new home.

But AFL.com.au understands the 26-year-old, who gained a reputation as a hard nut for Greater Western Sydney before his stay at Richmond, is on the radar of the Bombers to add to their list before the start of next season.

Townsend was spotted meeting with the Bombers at their Tullamarine headquarters last week.
