RCD goes long to the square. Clearing kick deep in defence by Port is marked over the top by Miller 45 out. Goal!  :gotigers

Rich  4.8-32
Port   0.4-4

Dumb 666 breach (only 3 in the square) - that was our second after we were warned. Point to Port.

Markov loses his footing and it's a bad turned over. But Morris saves a certain goal with a run down tackle.

Momentum has swung. We're doing so dumb footy. Thankfully the siren goes.

Half-time

Richmond   0.6   4.8-32
Port Melb.   0.2   1.5-11

Goals: Moore, Miller, Aarts, Fletcher.

Disposals:

Naish 9 ... 2 behinds
Butler 9 ... 3 tackles ... 2 behinds.
Eggy 7
Turner 7
Beasley 7
Moore 6
Markov 6

More kicks but less handballs than Port.
57 - 42 marks
22 - 20 inside 50s.
16 - 5  hitouts

We were on top for most of that quarter. Port still in the game due to our lack of conversion in the first 40 mins and a momentum swing late in the 2nd qtr (thanks to the umps compelled by some dumb panic footy from us).

Even our ressies are having trouble with the 666 rule. Two breaches so far.

Good to see Butler responding well to his dropping. He is actually working hard both with and without the footy.

Naish not as prominent as the first quarter but his disposal is clean. Much improved.

RCD is doing the inside work at stoppages. Still not ready for the seniors but promising signs.

Markov is Menadue's twin. Reads the play well across HB to intercept but then coughs it up.

Chol for a big bloke still needs to use his body and strength in marking contests. He could rip a game a apart if he could take contested marks.

Nice push in the back to us is not paid by the ump  ::). Then a horrible handball by Moore in defence gifts Port the first goal of the 3rd qtr.

Haven't had a chance to watch much VFL.

Pretty poor standard on what I am seeing.

We did our best to turn it over by hand in midfield but finally Turner gathers and goes long to Moore. Can't mark. Loose ball at 50. Port player in the best position but we pressure him off the ball and Coffield nails it from 40.

That last play has summed some of the game up.

Moore had Butler wide open 15 out but misses him and it bounces through for a point  :banghead.

Port go up the other end for a goal. 11 point turnaround  :banghead.

Coffield intercepts in the centre but his poor kick to Butler who was behind his opponent was intercepted by Port and with their forward line wide open they run it down for an easy goal.
